Risk of Rain 2 had a very successful Early Access launch on Steam earlier this year and received its last large update in early July, introducing the new character Rex to the roster as well as a new change and a chunk of other new content.
Though I’m usually not a supporter of PC Early Access titles jumping to console while still in an unfinished state, Risk of Rain 2 proves to be a worthy successor to the original 2013 indie darling even without all the bells and whistles promised down the line. Unlike some Early Access titles, your adversary is in the gameplay — not in a slew of bugs.
Risk of Rain 2’s is now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One for $29.99, a small price to pay for one of the most engrossing multiplayer roguelites currently available.
